Do, play and go (Sports)

Do:

We use it when we want to talk about an individual sport, like: do aerobics, do gymnastics or do track and field. 

Play:

It's used to talk about a sports with ball, for example play football, play tennis...

Go:

This word is used to talk about sports that end in -ing. E.g: go cycling, go skiing or go sailing.
